A twist on a classic, blood orange margaritas are delicious and refreshing. Plus they are easy to make and perfect for date night, girls night or batched for a party.

  • 4 oz. tequila
  • 4 oz. blood orange juice
  • 4 oz. lime juice
  • 2 oz. triple sec
  • 1 oz. simple syrup (mix 2 volumes of hot water with 1 volume of sugar)
  • Ice for shaking and serving
  • Salt
  • Blood orange slices for serving


  1. If desired, rub a lime slice along the edge of your glasses and dip in sala plate with salt.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, blood orange and lime juices, triple sec and simple syrup with about ½ cup of ice. Shake for 15 seconds until the shaker feels very cold.

  3. Add ice to prepared glasses and pour the margarita overtop. Serve garnished with a blood orange slice.
