  • 2 pork chops about 3/4- to 1-inch thick
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 cup apple cider

  1. In a shallow dish, place pork chops and season both sides with salt and pepper, then add lemon juice and apple cider. Let marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to 4 hours.
  2. When ready for dinner, heat oven and oven safe skillet at 400F.
  3. As the oven and skillet are heating, remove pork from the marinade and pat dry.
  4. Once the oven is at 400F. Pull out the skillet (please wear oven gloves!) and place on a burner set at medium-high heat. Place the pork chops inside and sear for about 3 minutes - make sure your fan is on high!
  5. Next, flip the pork chops over and return the skillet to the oven until the pork chops are cooked and a thermometer reads 140 - 145F, about 6 - 10 minutes. If you desire, you can place a bit of apple cider over the pork chops while they roast in the oven to form a sort of saucy glaze.
  6. Once cooked, remove pork chops from oven and skillet and tent with aluminum foil for about 5 minutes before serving.
